Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin Reviews “Ungaludan Stalin” Camp at Royapettah, Chennai

Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Thiru. Udhayanidhi Stalin, today visited and inspected the “Ungaludan Stalin” (Stalin with You) special camp held at the Greater Chennai Corporation Community Welfare Centre, Royapettah, Begum Sahib Main Road, under Chepauk–Thiruvallikeni Assembly Constituency.

At the camp, he personally interacted with the public, received petitions, and assured solutions to their grievances.

About the “Ungaludan Stalin” Scheme

Launched to resolve day-to-day grievances faced by the people in accessing various government services and schemes, the “Ungaludan Stalin” camps have been held across the state since June 15, 2025, and will continue until November 2025. In total, 10,000 camps are planned across Tamil Nadu.

In urban areas, petitions relating to 13 government departments are accepted and processed at these camps. Additionally, medical camps are also being organized to monitor and improve the health of participating citizens.

Applications for the Kalaignar Mahalir Urimai Thittam (Kalaignar Women’s Rights Scheme) are also being received only through these camps. Special arrangements have been made for eligible women who may have missed applying earlier. They can now attend the camps, fill out the application forms, and submit them directly.

Camp Details in Chennai

Under the Greater Chennai Corporation, “Ungaludan Stalin” camps are being held from 9 AM to 3 PM daily.

On August 26, 2025, the camp at Royapettah (Ward 119) included grievance redressal counters for:

  • Corporation Administration & Drinking Water Supply
  • Revenue & Disaster Management
  • Health & Family Welfare
  • Energy Department
  • Cooperation, Food & Consumer Protection
  • Welfare of Differently Abled
  • Adi Dravidar & Tribal Welfare
  • Backward, Most Backward & Minority Welfare
  • Labour Welfare & Skill Development
  • Housing & Urban Development
  • MSME Department
  • Social Welfare & Women’s Rights
  • Information Technology & Digital Services

Public grievances were formally registered, acknowledgements issued, and petitions forwarded to the concerned departments for further action.

A special medical camp was also organized at the venue to provide health check-ups and treatment to local residents.

Additionally, sanitation workers were briefed on the welfare schemes and benefits available to them. Pamphlets explaining these entitlements were distributed at the camp.

Deputy CM’s Interaction

During his inspection, Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin interacted directly with the public who had submitted petitions, listened to their concerns, and assured solutions. He also visited the special medical camp to observe the ongoing health services being provided to citizens.

The inspection was attended by Thiru. S. Chitraisu, Zonal Officer (Works), Greater Chennai Corporation, Councillor Tmt. C. Kamala Seliyan, along with corporation officials and members of the public.
