Two-Day Regional Tourism Conclave in Gwalior to Set New Direction : CM Dr. Yadav
Bhopal, Aug 2025 : Under the chief hospitality of Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board will organise a two-day Regional Tourism Conclave on August 29–30 at Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Agriculture University, Gwalior. The special guests will include Union Minister for Communications and Development of the North Eastern Region, Shri Jyotiraditya Scindia, Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, and Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Tourism, Culture and Religious Trusts & Endowments, Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi.
Renowned actors Shri Piyush Mishra and Shri Faisal Malik will also be present.
The conclave aims to promote tourism investment in Madhya Pradesh by recognizing the tourism potential of the Gwalior–Chambal and Sagar regions. With the theme ‘Timeless Gwalior: Echoes of Culture, Spirit of Legacy’, the conclave will focus on tourism investment, cultural heritage, experiential tourism, and regional development. Notably, the Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart will be held in Bhopal from October 11 to 13, 2025.
Tourism Development Through Partnerships and Agreements
Several important agreements will be signed to accelerate tourism development. Letters of Award (LoA) will be presented to investors in hotels, resorts, wellness, and eco-tourism sectors. An MoU with Maharaja Mansingh Tomar Music University, Gwalior, will support capacity building of traditional musicians, folk artists and performers from tourist villages.
Partnerships for influencer marketing and tourism promotion will be inked with Yap Digital, Crayons Advertising, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., and Concept Communications. These collaborations will strengthen investor confidence while directly benefiting local communities and artists.
Launch of New Projects
The conclave will also mark the launch of new projects, including a key partnership with Delberto to promote handicrafts through a dedicated e-commerce platform. This initiative will allow craft enthusiasts to connect directly with artisans and purchase authentic, handcrafted products from the comfort of their homes.
In collaboration with IndiGo and Aga Khan Foundation, conservation, landscaping and illumination works at Gwalior Fort will be inaugurated under CSR initiatives. Experiential tourism projects at Phool Bagh, Gwalior, will be launched under Swadesh Darshan 2.0, along with development projects at Maharaja Mansingh Tomar Music University.
Discussions on Heritage, Legacy and Experiential Tourism
Two key sessions will be held during the conclave. The first, a panel discussion on ‘Tourism as a Cultural Bridge – Branding Gwalior and the Heartland of MP’, will focus on strategies to showcase Gwalior’s cultural heritage, classical music, and architecture on the global tourism map. The second session, a panel discussion on ‘Gwalior and Chambal Rising – Inbound Appeal through Heritage, Luxury, and Experience’, will highlight emerging dimensions such as heritage tourism, luxury stays, destination weddings, and experiential tourism.
Stakeholder Dialogues and Investment Opportunities
Travel operators, hoteliers and tourism stakeholders will hold bilateral discussions to explore investment opportunities. These sessions will contribute not only to regional tourism development but also to the growth of national tourism prosperity.
Cultural Evening Showcasing Madhya Pradesh’s Pride
On the first evening, a cultural program will present Madhya Pradesh’s vibrant folk art traditions. The famous Maihar Band will also perform. A special tourism exhibition will showcase Madhya Pradesh’s diverse tourist destinations, hospitality brands, homestays, resorts, handlooms/handicrafts, adventure activities and cultural heritage. This platform will connect investors, travel agents, tour operators, entrepreneurs, and visitors directly with tourism opportunities.
Influencers and FAM Tour
An Influencers’ Meet will be held, featuring regional influencers from Gwalior–Chambal who will also interact with actor Shri Faisal Malik. On August 30–31, early morning yoga sessions will be organized at Gwalior Fort. A Familiarisation (FAM) Tour will introduce select guests and delegates to the region’s natural beauty, cultural heritage, and historical significance, helping them connect more deeply with tourism development, investment, and promotion opportunities.
