Collector on Field to Address Flood Situation: Citizens Urged to Stay Home Unless Essential
Raigad : In response to the heavy rains and flooding in the district, Collector Kishan Javale has been actively monitoring the situation on the ground. To mitigate any potential harm and minimize disruptions, he has been taking immediate action with the administrative team.
Collector Javale visited several areas including Alibaug, Roha, Mangaon, and Mahad, where he engaged with citizens and assessed the situation.
Heavy rains have continued in the district since yesterday, leading to road closures and complaints of mud and debris washing onto roads. The Collector promptly addressed these issues and inspected affected areas despite the ongoing rain.
He urged citizens to venture out only when absolutely necessary and advised against crossing bridges when water levels are high. Emphasizing the importance of vigilance, he stressed the need to avoid actions that could lead to loss of life or property. Additionally, he instructed the administrative system to remain alert and take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and convenience of the public.
