Initiative to Make Youth Self-Reliant through Mason Training

Raipur, Sept 2025 : The district administration of Jashpur is making continuous efforts to connect rural youth with self-employment and make them self-reliant. In this direction, under the guidance of Collector Shri Rohit Vyas, a Mason Training Program has been launched.

As part of this special initiative, 35 youth each from Khamhli village of Manora block and Maheshpur village of Pathalgaon block are being provided 30 days of mason training from August 19 through SBI-RSETI (Rural Self Employment Training Institute).

Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Shri Abhishek Kumar, said that this training is an important step towards not only making rural youth self-reliant but also creating employment opportunities at the local level. The training includes modern building construction techniques, foundation preparation, plastering, leveling, bar bending, concreting, and practical skills development.

It is noteworthy that a large number of houses have been sanctioned in the district under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Gramin). After completing the training, these trained youth will be able to contribute to the construction of houses in their respective villages. This will not only improve the quality and pace of construction work but also provide them with employment as skilled masons and better income opportunities, while supporting the timely completion of rural housing.

This initiative is opening a new door of self-employment for rural youth. After the training, they will no longer remain just laborers but become skilled masons. This will increase the availability of skilled masons in rural areas and ensure they receive dignified remuneration for their work.
