Over ₹647 crore transferred to more than 6.9 million women under Mahtari Vandan Yojana
So far, a total of ₹12,376.19 crore directly transferred to beneficiaries, bringing positive change in women’s lives

Raipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today released the 19th installment of the Mahtari Vandan Yojana at a grand event held in Kharsia, Raigarh district. On this occasion, he transferred ₹1,000 each directly into the bank accounts of 6,915,994 women across the state. The total amount of ₹647.13 crore was disbursed with a single click.

Speaking at the event, CM Sai said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is a revolutionary initiative aimed at improving the standard of living of women and strengthening their dignity. He expressed confidence that this financial assistance would not only make women self-reliant but also strengthen family finances and social security. Interacting with women, he assured them that the state government would always stand by their side and continue working to improve their lives.

The Chief Minister added that the scheme is instilling hope, trust, and new inspiration in the lives of Chhattisgarh’s mothers and sisters. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to consistently working for women’s welfare and overall social progress.

Launched on March 1, 2024, the scheme provides direct monthly financial assistance to nearly 6.9 million eligible women. Including today’s 19th installment, a total of ₹12,376.19 crore has been transferred directly to beneficiaries so far. CM Sai highlighted that the scheme is playing a historic role in providing social security, promoting self-reliance, and boosting women’s confidence.

Minister for Women and Child Development, Laxmi Rajwade, said that the Mahtari Vandan Yojana is giving women new energy, confidence, and respect, while bringing positive changes in their lives. She added that its impact extends beyond women, strengthening entire families and driving social transformation. The state government has announced that the scheme will be made even more effective, giving top priority to women’s development, safety, and dignity.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Finance Minister O.P. Choudhary, and several distinguished citizens were present at the event.
