‘Shree Ganesha Arogyacha’ Initiative: 3.26 Lakh Citizens Benefited from Free Health Check-ups, 6,862 Donated Blood
Mumbai, Sept 2025 : The special health initiative ‘Shree Ganesha Arogyacha’, conceptualized by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis during Ganeshotsav, received an overwhelming response across Maharashtra. Between August 28 and September 4, a total of 7,159 health camps were organized in every district of the state. Through these camps, as many as 3.26 lakh citizens availed free health check-ups. The campaign, conducted under the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and the Charitable Hospitals Help Desk, with support from various health institutions, successfully provided free healthcare services to lakhs of citizens.
During the screenings, 9,960 patients diagnosed with health conditions were referred to specialists for further treatment. Citizens also came forward in large numbers to fulfill their social responsibility by donating blood. A total of 6,862 donors contributed through 95 blood donation camps.
The campaign saw active participation from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, Charitable Hospitals Help Desk, Mahatma Phule Jan Arogya Yojana, government medical colleges, district hospitals, and doctors and health workers affiliated with charitable hospitals. Ganesh mandals across the state also extended enthusiastic support, enhancing the campaign’s outreach and effectiveness.

So far, 3.26 lakh citizens in Maharashtra have availed free health check-ups and 6,862 donors have made a significant contribution to society through blood donation.

- Highest blood collection: Pune – 1,650

Speaking about the campaign, Mr. Rameshwar Naik, Chief of the CM’s Relief Fund and Charitable Hospitals Help Desk, stated that along with the free health check-ups, patients diagnosed with illnesses during the camps will also receive free follow-up treatment.
