Special Train for Senior Citizens’ Pilgrimage 2025 Departs for Rameswaram

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : In a vibrant atmosphere filled with devotion and enthusiasm, a special air-conditioned train under the Senior Citizens’ Pilgrimage Scheme 2025 departed from Jodhpur on Friday. The train was flagged off by Devsthan and Animal Husbandry Minister, Mr. Joraram Kumawat. This special pilgrimage train will travel via Pali and Jawai Dam to reach Rameswaram and Madurai, where senior citizens will have the opportunity to visit sacred temples and receive blessings.

Over 300 senior citizens boarded from Jodhpur, while 200 devotees joined from Pali and 126 from Jawai Dam, participating in this spiritual journey.

During the event, the senior citizens expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, noting that the opportunity to visit holy sites in their later years is a blessing. They lauded the CM as a “Shravan Putra” for ensuring that the elderly are honored and provided a safe and comfortable journey in an air-conditioned train.

The journey was marked by visible devotion and joy among the pilgrims as they set out for Rameswaram, conveying their sincere thanks to the Chief Minister and the state government.

The program was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Mr. Rajendra Gehlot, Leader of the Opposition Mr. Laxminarayan Solanki, and several other public representatives.
