Additional Chief Secretary Inspects Rain-Affected Areas in Kotkhawda; Divisional Commissioner and District Collector Present

Jaipur, Sept 2025 : In line with Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s vision of good governance and responsive administration, concrete efforts are being made to ensure the rapid resolution of public problems. As part of these efforts, Additional Chief Secretary Shri Anand Kumar conducted an on-site inspection of Kotkhawda Tehsil in the Chaksu sub-division, recently affected by heavy rainfall. Divisional Commissioner Jaipur Mrs. Poonam and District Collector Jaipur Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, along with senior officials from various departments, were present during the inspection.

Notably, between 1–4 September 2025, 46 mm of rainfall was recorded in Chaksu Tehsil and 340 mm in Kotkhawda Tehsil, leading to flood-like conditions in the area.

During the inspection, the Additional Chief Secretary provided directions to officials, including:

Construction of a high-level bridge over the Dhund River at Gram Panchayat Chandel Kala on Chaksu-Dausa State Highway.

Immediate repair and permanent solutions for roads damaged by heavy rainfall in Gram Panchayat Jhampda Kala, coordinated with the Public Works Department.

Regular monitoring and supervision of all reservoirs and major dams in the sub-division by the Water Resources Department.

Repair of the damaged wall at the sports ground in Jhampda Kala.

Prompt drainage of waterlogged areas in Kotkhawda town under the direction of the Panchayati Raj Department.

The Additional Chief Secretary emphasized that, in accordance with the Chief Minister’s vision, departmental coordination and swift action must be ensured so that affected residents receive relief quickly. He further directed officials to prioritize relief and restoration work for rapid implementation.
