Continuous Expansion of Railway Facilities in the State; Officials Must Coordinate with the Centre to Complete Projects on Time – CM Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur, Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that his government is giving top priority to the expansion of railway facilities in the state. A strong rail network, he noted, will make travel easier for the public while also benefiting local employment and industries. He directed officials to coordinate closely with railway authorities to ensure timely implementation of proposed railway projects in the state.
On Tuesday, Mr. Sharma reviewed the new Ratlam–Dungarpur via Banswara railway project and the proposed new railway terminal at Bharatpur by the Central Warehousing Corporation at the Chief Minister’s Office. He said that the construction of the proposed terminal at Bharatpur will provide better transportation facilities to farmers, industrial units, and all sections of society. He instructed officials to conduct a joint inspection to select a suitable site for the terminal.
Regular Monitoring of Project Progress
Mr. Sharma also reviewed the status of the Ratlam–Dungarpur via Banswara new railway project with officials from North Western Railway. He directed them to expedite the land acquisition process for this railway line through mutual coordination. He further emphasized the need to accelerate financial and technical procedures in collaboration with the Centre and to ensure regular monitoring of the project’s progress.
Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, along with state government and railway officials, was present during the meeting. Collectors from the concerned districts also joined the meeting through video conferencing.
