Citizen-Centric ‘Aaple Sarkar 2.0’ Portal to be Implemented – Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis

Another Step Forward by the State Government to Improve ‘Ease of Living’

Mumbai, Sept 2025 : The state government has taken another step forward to ensure that citizens can easily and conveniently avail themselves of government services and schemes. Using technology, the government aims to deliver maximum benefits and services in the simplest manner possible, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said.

A meeting on ‘Governance Process Re-Engineering’, organized with the Samagra organization, was held at Sahyadri Guest House. The Chief Minister directed that all government services and scheme benefits should be delivered through the ‘Aaple Sarkar’ portal. He further instructed that portals or apps of other departments should be integrated into this platform.

The meeting was attended by IT Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, State Right to Services Commission Chief Commissioner Manukumar Srivastava, and others.

The Chief Minister stated that the government is working to improve governance and thereby enhance citizens’ ‘ease of living’. He instructed that the citizen-centric Aaple Sarkar 2.0 portal, designed to be technology-friendly, should be implemented by October 2 to ensure that citizens receive scheme benefits and services promptly and without hassle.

Fadnavis further directed that changes to make service delivery more seamless for citizens should be carried out in three phases, aligned with key dates – November 26 (Constitution Day), January 26, 2026 (Republic Day), and May 1, 2026 (Maharashtra Day).

The Chief Minister also announced that the Right to Services Act would be expanded to include benefits of schemes in addition to services. “So far, the Act guarantees only services. Going forward, it should also guarantee the delivery of scheme benefits based on eligibility criteria,” he said. Citizens should be able to track the status of their applications online at every stage. Once approved or delivered, citizens should have the facility to give feedback online, and grievances should also be resolved online. He directed that application forms should be simplified, and the number of documents required should be reduced, to ensure faster and easier access to schemes and services.

He emphasized that approval processes should be reduced and made entirely online. All schemes should be integrated with the MahaDBT portal, and no offline processes should be used. Citizens should not need to visit government offices; rather, the status of their applications and service approvals should be visible online. Services linked to various departments should be integrated into the portal and provided through a single unified platform.

The Chief Minister further directed that government services being rolled out through WhatsApp should also be integrated with the portal. “The objective behind all these efforts is to ensure that citizens receive government schemes and services easily, simply, and within a short time. Every department must work with dedication to implement this system,” Fadnavis said.

The meeting was also attended by Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Secretaries of various departments, and Gaurav Goyal, President of the Samagra organization.
