State-Level Meeting of the Transgender Welfare Board Concludes Under Minister Laxmi Rajwade

Minister Laxmi Rajwade: Government Committed to Protecting Rights and Empowering the Transgender Community

Raipur, Sept 2025: A state-level meeting of the Transgender Welfare Board was held today at the New Raipur Secretariat, chaired by Minister of Social Welfare, Mrs. Laxmi Rajwade. The meeting focused on the empowerment, rights protection, and social inclusion of the transgender community.

During the discussions, participants emphasized the availability of education and healthcare services, expansion of employment opportunities, and policies to integrate the community into mainstream society. It was resolved that concrete steps would be taken to ensure a dignified and self-reliant life for the community.

Minister Rajwade instructed officials to ensure the effective implementation and continuous review of all schemes aimed at the transgender community. She highlighted that the government is working seriously on issues related to their livelihood, empowerment, and social inclusion.

She also stated that this initiative is a significant step towards equality and will serve as a milestone in realizing the vision of “Viksit Bharat 2047”.

The meeting was attended by Secretary of Social Welfare, Mr. Bhuvanesh Yadav, Director Mrs. Roktima Yadav, senior officials, representatives of relevant institutions, and members of the transgender community.
