Citizens Should Avail Benefits of Ayushman Bharat and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya YojanaAppeal by State Health Assurance Society
Mumbai, Sept 2025 : In Maharashtra, the Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana and Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana are being jointly implemented, through which all citizens of the state will benefit.
Under the joint scheme, free treatment will be available in government as well as private empaneled hospitals for 1,356 medical procedures, up to a limit of ₹5 lakh per family per year. Families holding Yellow, Orange, Antyodaya, Annapurna, or White ration cards, along with all government and semi-government officers, employees, and their families, are included in this scheme. Notably, there is no income criterion for availing this scheme.
Ayushman cards for all beneficiaries are being prepared through ASHA workers, employees at Aaple Sarkar service centers, and fair-price shop owners across the state. Beneficiaries can also generate their own cards via the Ayushman app or through the “Beneficiary” option on the website https://beneficiary.nha.gov.in/. For card generation, an updated ration card, Aadhaar number, and mobile number linked with Aadhaar are mandatory, informed Mr. Annasaheb Chavan, Chief Executive Officer of the State Health Assurance Society.
