Chief Minister Inaugurates Farmers’ Call Center in Jashpur to Usher in Agricultural Revolution
By scanning QR codes, farmers can sell their crops directly and get rid of middlemen
Raipur, Sept 2025 : To bring about an agricultural revolution in Jashpur, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the Farmers’ Call Center, AgriBid, and QR-code based G-Com India system aimed at simplifying the marketing process. The launch was carried out from his private residence office at Bagiya. Former Union Minister Shri Arjun Munda, Vice-Chairperson of Sarguja Region Tribal Development Authority Smt. Gomati Sai, Jashpur MLA Smt. Raymuni Bhagat, District Panchayat President Shri Salik Sai, and several other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the district has favorable conditions not only for agriculture but also for horticulture crops. At present, crops like mango, litchi, pear, tea, tau, and jackfruit are produced abundantly. However, due to the absence of reliable market options, farmers were forced to sell their crops to middlemen at throwaway prices. Now, through the QR code system, farmers will be able to directly connect with buyers and sell their produce to any person sitting in any part of the country. This will free them from unnecessary intermediaries and ensure fair prices for their produce. Additionally, the call center will provide farmers with expert guidance on any problems they face. Both initiatives will bring revolutionary changes in agriculture and increase farmers’ incomes.
He further informed that, in collaboration with NDDB, a pilot project is underway in six districts of the state to boost milk production. Under this initiative, high-yielding dairy animals are being distributed, and villagers are being trained in animal husbandry.
Smt. Gomati Sai, Vice-Chairperson of the Tribal Development Authority, said that the newly launched call center would prove to be a milestone for the development of agriculture in the district and yield long-term benefits for farmers. Jashpur MLA Smt. Raymuni Bhagat highlighted that along with pears and litchis, jackfruit is also cultivated on a large scale in the district. Recently, a Jackfruit Fair was organized in Jashpur to encourage processing and value addition. With such initiatives, farmers will not only boost production but also export their products at fair prices.
Chief Minister Flags Off Farmers’ Educational Tour
To encourage innovative farming and agricultural development, the Chief Minister flagged off a group of 35 farmers from Kunkuri (15) and Kansabel (20) for an educational tour to Raipur and Durg under the Krishi Kranti and ATMA schemes. During the tour, farmers will learn about scientific farming techniques and food processing. Institutions like BNR Seed Raipur and Indus Mega Food Park Raipur will provide training and exposure to the participants, which they can later implement in their own fields.
Farmers to Get Help via Call Center +91-8069378107
Through this call center, farmers in the district will be able to resolve their agriculture-related queries with the help of experts. On the occasion, an MoU was also signed between the district administration and AgriBid in the presence of the Chief Minister. The call center will provide farmers with information about various government schemes and encourage them to avail of benefits. Farmers can also directly report their problems to officials without delay, ensuring prompt solutions. A team of 12 experts, including university professors, Krishi Vigyan Kendra scientists, and agricultural specialists, will assist farmers via calls, messages, and WhatsApp. Farmers simply need to contact the call center at +91-8069378107.
Farmers to Get Buyers Across the Country
With G-Com India’s QR code system, farmers from Jashpur will be able to directly connect with buyers from any part of the country. This campaign, run by the district administration, will free them from dependence on local markets and give them access to markets nationwide. Buyers, through the app, can view the details of available produce and contact farmers directly for business. If an individual farmer does not have sufficient quantity, he can combine produce with fellow farmers and meet buyers’ demands, ensuring collective growth. Through this initiative, farmers will get fair prices not only for paddy but also for oilseeds, pulses, and cash crops—right from their homes. Farmers only need to provide details of the crops and quantities they have available.
