DCM Ajit Pawar Inspects Development Works in Hadapsar Area Resolve traffic congestion using advanced technology
Pune, Sept 2025 : Considering the increasing number of vehicles in the city every day, the government is focusing on widening roads. With traffic congestion rising significantly due to the growing vehicle population, it must be resolved using advanced technology, directed Deputy Chief Minister and Guardian Minister of the district, Ajit Pawar.
Mr. Pawar conducted a site inspection of the ongoing construction of the Kharadi–Keshav Nagar bridge, as well as areas at Mundhwa Chowk and Hadapsar bus depot, to review measures for easing traffic congestion. He also obtained information from the concerned officials on the progress of works.
On this occasion, MLA Chetan Tupe, Pune Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Additional Municipal Commissioner Prithviraj B.P., along with local public representatives and citizens, were present.
Mr. Pawar said that while constructing the Kharadi–Keshav Nagar bridge, high-quality and advanced materials must be used. The bridge will help residents of Chandan Nagar, Keshav Nagar, and Kharadi areas get relief from traffic congestion, so the work should be completed expeditiously.
When local citizens raised various demands related to water supply, roads, street lights, law and order, and bus facilities, Mr. Pawar assured that these issues would be addressed on a priority basis.
For resolving traffic congestion at Mundhwa Chowk and Hadapsar bus depot, Mr. Pawar instructed that all possible options should be considered. He directed the Pune Municipal Corporation, police administration, PMPML, and local representatives to hold a joint meeting and take appropriate action.
