PM Mitra Park
The biggest benefit of the PM Mitra Park being laid by Prime Minister Shri Modi will go to the cotton producers of the state. The ‘PM Mitra Park’, coming up in about 2158 acres, is equipped with world-class facilities. Arrangements like a 20 MLD common effluent treatment plant, a 10 MVA solar power plant, continuous supply of water and electricity, modern roads and 81 plug-and-play units are being developed here. Housing and social facilities for workers and women employees make it not just an industrial area but an ideal industrial town.
The country’s leading textile companies have also expressed confidence in PM Mitra Park and have given investment proposals worth Rs 23,146 crore so far. This investment will pave the way for new employment for the local people along with the establishment of industries. Big organizations and industry groups of the textile sector have expressed their desire to invest here. This will not only give industrial benefits to the state, but will also increase exports. Textiles and garments prepared in Dhar will now reach the global market directly. Soon Madhya Pradesh will be recognized as a textile hub.
In line with the 5-F vision of Prime Minister Shri Modi, this park will create a complete value chain of ‘farm to fiber, fiber to factory, factory to fashion and fashion to foreign’. The raw cotton obtained from farmers will be made into yarn in industries, from where clothes and garments will be prepared and these products will be sent abroad. In this way the entire value chain will be completed at one place. This will be the specialty of this park and will become a model for other parks.
PM Mitra Park will generate about 3 lakh jobs. This will include one lakh direct and two lakh indirect jobs. With the expansion of cotton based industries, farmers will get double the value of their crop. This opportunity will not be limited to employment only, but will also accelerate economic activities in every village and will create new possibilities from local markets to export.
