Key Meeting on Preparations for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Proposed Visit to Banswara
All Departments Must Complete Arrangements with Coordination: Additional Chief Secretary
Jaipur, Sept 2025: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s proposed visit to Banswara on 25 September, Additional Chief Secretary, Water Resources Department, Mr. Abhay Kumar, chaired an important meeting at the Secretariat on Tuesday and issued necessary directions to the concerned officials.
Mr. Kumar instructed that preparations must be completed at the earliest through effective inter-departmental coordination to ensure the success of the event. He directed officials to make arrangements for accommodation of VVIPs and others in Banswara, regulate public movement to the rally venue, ensure the presence of medical teams and ambulances, provide uninterrupted electricity and drinking water supply, as well as mobile toilets and other essential facilities.
The Additional Chief Secretary stressed that the public should not face any inconvenience during the road journey. For this, he called for proper road repairs, rally venue construction, barricading, deployment of fire tenders, traffic control, parking arrangements, and issuance of security passes. He also directed that drinking water be ensured in every block of the rally ground. The Medical & Health Department was instructed to deploy food inspection teams at the venue, while the Information & Technology Department was asked to facilitate live telecast of the event across districts.
The meeting was attended by Additional Chief Secretary, Public Works Department, Mr. Praveen Gupta; Additional Chief Secretary, Home Department, Mr. Bhaskar A. Sawant; Principal Secretaries Mr. Bhawani Singh Detha and Dr. K.K. Pathak; Mr. Ravi Jain, Dr. Jogaram, Mrs. Suchi Tyagi, Mrs. Archana Singh; Commissioner of Tourism Mrs. Rukmani Riar; along with senior officials from all departments.
Through video conferencing, Udaipur Divisional Commissioner Ms. Pragya Kevlramani, Inspector General of Police (Udaipur Range) Mr. Gaurav Srivastava, Banswara District Collector Dr. Indrajeet Yadav, and Superintendent of Police Mr. Sudhir Joshi also joined the meeting. The Divisional Commissioner and the Banswara Collector assured that all preparations would be completed on time.
