CM Vishnudev Sai Launches ‘Swachhata Hi Seva Fortnight 2025’ on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Birthday

Flagged off door-to-door garbage collection vehicles dedicated to urban sanitation

Raipur, Sept 2025 : On the occasion of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s birthday, Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the “Swachhata Hi Seva Fortnight 2025” at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College campus in the state capital, Raipur. Marking the launch, he flagged off door-to-door garbage collection vehicles dedicated to the cleanliness efforts of Raipur Municipal Corporation and other urban bodies.

Chief Minister Sai personally picked up a broom and cleaned the premises, spreading the message of cleanliness among the public. He emphasized that keeping our surroundings clean is a collective responsibility. During the fortnight, a variety of programs will be organized across the state, with active participation from all citizens. He especially urged the youth to join the campaign, noting that awareness and voluntary participation in cleanliness efforts would bring positive social change.

Remembering Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision, the Chief Minister said the Prime Minister has always spoken about cleanliness and set the country a major goal of achieving a clean India. “We must all shoulder our responsibility and contribute to this mission with priority,” he added.

CM Visits Exhibition Stalls

As part of the launch, Chief Minister Sai visited various stalls set up by the Urban Administration Department. He interacted with women from self-help groups and learned about their livelihood activities. He also visited stalls displaying information and models related to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Urban) 2.0, CSPDCL, CREDA’s PM Suryaghar Free Electricity Scheme, waste collection and management processes, and products made by self-help groups.

Under the initiative “Khushiyon ka Thela” (Cart of Happiness), the Chief Minister encouraged women vendors and handed them UPI soundbox devices to facilitate digital transactions.

The event was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Arun Sao, Member of Parliament Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, MLAs Shri Rajesh Munat and Shri Sunil Soni, Mayor Smt. Meenal Chaubey, and a large gathering of prominent citizens.
