CM Pushkar Singh Dhami Participates in ‘GST Savings Festival’ in Premnagar, Dehradun

Sept 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami today attended the GST Savings Festival organized at Premnagar, Dehradun. The program was aimed at spreading awareness about the recent reduction in GST rates across the country and informing the public about its direct benefits.

On Monday evening, CM Dhami visited the local market in Premnagar, met traders, and took their feedback on the new GST slabs. He urged them to ensure that the benefits of the reduced GST are passed on to the common people.

CM Interacts with Traders and Citizens

The Chief Minister personally visited several establishments, interacting with shopkeepers and gathering feedback. He appealed to traders to prioritize indigenous products, saying, “By giving preference to local products, we strengthen Indian people and the Indian economy.” He further explained that promoting indigenous and local goods would encourage cottage industries, support small businesses, and strengthen both the state and national economy.

CM Dhami informed citizens about the reduced next-generation GST and emphasized that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the central government has reduced GST on many essential goods and services to provide relief to the common man. He appealed to people to buy more local and indigenous products, which would empower rural and urban entrepreneurs and accelerate the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India).

Economic Reforms with Welfare

The Chief Minister highlighted that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, economic reforms and welfare of the people are progressing simultaneously. The reduction in GST rates has brought relief to every section of society—from homemakers to small traders. He added that programs like the GST Savings Festival provide citizens with a platform for direct dialogue, helping them to better understand and experience the government’s welfare policies.

Citizens Express Gratitude

Citizens present at the program expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for the GST relief, stating that the reduction in tax rates on daily-use products has reduced the burden on household budgets and provided real relief to common families.

Many attendees also said that the partnership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Dhami has instilled public confidence, as this leadership duo has advanced the state and the nation on the path of development, security, and economic stability.

The program saw the participation of a large number of citizens, traders, women, youth, and senior citizens, who described the GST reduction as a “gift from the double-engine government.”

On this occasion, MLA Smt. Savita Kapoor, BJP Metropolitan President Shri Siddharth Agarwal, State Minister Aditya Chauhan, and several others were present.
