Nationwide Cybersecurity Awareness Campaign to Begin from September 25

A Month-Long Campaign to Guide Citizens on Best Practices for Cybersecurity and Data Privacy

Mumbai, Sept 2025 : To promote digital safety and ensure secure cyber transactions for all, the Data Security Council of India (DSCI) will launch the “Ring the Bell for Security” campaign at the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) on September 25, 2025. This campaign will kick off the nationwide Cybersecurity Awareness Month (CSAM) 2025.

The campaign will be inaugurated by Minister of Information Technology and Cultural Affairs, Adv. Ashish Shelar. Also present will be Chief Minister’s Investment Advisor Kaustubh Dhavse, Principal Secretary and Director General of the Directorate of Information & Public Relations Brijesh Singh, along with dignitaries from the Ministry of Home Affairs, CERT-In, SEBI, and BSE.

The campaign is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Home Affairs’ India Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C), Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, and CERT-In, with active participation from industry partners.

This initiative aims to encourage citizens, organizations, and stakeholders to adopt good cybersecurity habits and follow best practices for cybersecurity and data privacy. It will also educate citizens about the rising threats of cybercrime and provide guidance on staying safe online.
