On Sunday, Chief Minister Sri A. Revanth Reddy attended the grand completion ceremony of the Qutub Shahi Heritage Park at the Qutub Shahi Tombs in Hyderabad. This significant event marked the successful restoration of the historical site, a joint effort between the Telangana Government and the Aga Khan Trust for Culture.

Honoring Our Heritage CM Revanth Reddy expressed his honor and delight in participating in the completion ceremony. He emphasized the importance of preserving Telangana’s rich history, culture, and traditions, which span thousands of years. The region has been ruled by various dynasties, including the Satavahanas, Kakatiyas, and Qutb Shahis, each leaving their unique cultural imprint.

Architectural Marvels Telangana is home to numerous architectural wonders such as the Charminar, Golconda Fort, Qutub Shahi Tombs, Thousand Pillar Temple, Ramappa Temple, and Alampur Temple. Hyderabad, known for its ‘Ganga-Jamuna Tehjeeb,’ has a history of harmony and coexistence among diverse cultures.

Restoration Achievement The Qutub Shahi Heritage Park, including the seven tombs, stands as a testament to the architectural skill and cultural richness of the Nizam dynasty. CM Revanth Reddy affirmed his government’s commitment to preserving Telangana’s culture and heritage, ensuring it is recognized globally. He highlighted the Ramappa Temple’s recognition as a UNESCO World Heritage Site as a source of pride for Telangana.

Conservation Efforts The conservation of more than 100 monuments across 106 acres represents one of the largest conservation programs undertaken, starting with MoUs signed in 2013. CM Revanth Reddy extended his gratitude and appreciation to the Aga Khan Trust for Culture for its cooperation and generosity in conserving these historical monuments. He also thanked all the distinguished guests, including Prince Rahim Aga Khan, for their support.

This successful restoration project not only preserves Telangana’s rich heritage but also places it proudly on the world map, ensuring future generations can appreciate the region’s cultural legacy.
