Easy access to the beautiful tourist destination Dangari Ghat soon
Raipur, Sept 2025 : An amount of ₹18.37 crore has been approved for the construction of a 13.60 km road from Village Podi Khurd to Village Sulesha leading to Dangari Ghat in Bagicha development block of Jashpur district. This long-pending demand of the locals has finally been fulfilled, bringing joy to villagers. The process for construction is underway.

Jashpur, surrounded by dense forests, gurgling waterfalls, mountain rivers, lofty hills, and plateaus, is a unique treasure of natural beauty. It is not only a paradise for nature lovers and adventure seekers but also home to a rich cultural heritage. The tribal communities residing here have their own distinct traditions, art forms, music, and folklore.
On the instructions of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, these enchanting tourist spots of Jashpur are being developed with the aim of giving them global recognition while creating new employment opportunities. The construction of the road up to Dangari Ghat will boost development in the area, benefit surrounding villages, generate jobs, and strengthen the local economy. Located around 88 km from the Jashpur headquarters, this waterfall cascades down steep cliffs in three to four streams amid dense forests. Peaceful, picturesque, and thrilling, this destination is nothing less than heaven for nature enthusiasts.
Tourism emerging as Jashpur’s new identity
It is noteworthy that on September 14, the Chief Minister launched homestays in five villages of Jashpur, including Dangari, under the Community Tourism initiative. This policy aims to generate employment while introducing tourists from across the country and the world to the district’s rich tribal culture, traditions, and rural life.
Thanks to the Chief Minister’s efforts, Madheshwar Hill has been recognized as the world’s largest natural replica of a Shivling. This historic achievement has been recorded in the Golden Book of World Records as the “Largest Natural Facsimile of Shivling.”
