Chief Minister Chairs State-Level DISHA Meeting

Aizawl, Sept 2025: The Government held a high-level review meeting on the implementation of various state-level schemes under the State-Level DISHA (Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee). The meeting was chaired by Chief Minister Pu Lalduhoma at the Planning & Programme Implementation Department Conference Hall.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted the role of the DISHA Committee in ensuring coordination and monitoring of schemes implemented by different government departments. He emphasized the importance of convergence and synergy among departments to ensure that schemes are effectively executed and achieve their intended outcomes. Departments also provided detailed updates on the implementation progress of their respective schemes.

The meeting also reviewed the utilization and performance of central government schemes, particularly the SNA-SPARSH initiative. Discussions focused on the proper use of funds and the effectiveness of implementation by the respective departments.

The State-Level DISHA Committee is chaired by Prof. Lalnilawma, Minister of Rural Development, who serves as Co-Chairman. The Secretary of the RD Department serves as Member Secretary. Members of the committee include Members of Parliament from the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, MLAs such as Pu T. Lalhlimpuia, MLA from Lunglei West, Pu Lalramliana Papuia, MLA from Lunglei South, Lt. Col. Clement Lalhmingthanga, MLA from Champhai South, Pi Baryl Vanneihsangi, MLA from Aizawl South-III, Pu K. Laldawngliana, MLA from Tuirial, and Pu K. Hrahmo, MLA from Palak constituency.

In addition, 30 key officials from central scheme-implementing government departments, along with community representatives, attended the meeting to provide feedback and updates on scheme implementation and outcomes.
