Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division to run Additional EMU Specials during Durga Puja.

Sept 2025 : In a bid to facilitate travel & ensure the utmost convenience for commuters and to clear anticipated rush of passengers during Durga Puja, Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division has unveiled plans to operate Eight (08) additional services of EMU Special trains on daily basis having stoppages at all stations enroute on the nights of:

• 29.09.2025 & 30.09.2025,
• 30.09.2025 & 01.10.2025  
• 01.10.2025 & 02.10.2025

for Bandel, Tarakeswar & Barddhaman (via Main & Chord Line): –

• One (01) pair of Howrah – Barddhaman EMU special via Bandel (leaving Howrah at 00:45 Hours to reach Barddhaman at 03:10 Hours & leaving Barddhaman at 21:40 Hours to reach Howrah at 00:05 Hours)

• One (01) pair of Howrah – Barddhaman EMU special via Dankuni (leaving Howrah at 01:15 Hours to reach Barddhaman at 03:20 Hours & leaving Barddhaman at 22:30 Hours to reach Howrah at 00:45 Hours)

• One (01) pair of Howrah – Bandel EMU special (leaving Howrah at 01:00 Hours to reach Bandel at 02:05 Hours & leaving Bandel at 23:30 Hours to reach Howrah at 00:35 Hours)

• One (01) pair of Sheoraphuli – Tarakeswar EMU special (leaving Sheoraphuli at 00:30 Hours to reach Tarakeswar at 01:20 Hours & leaving Tarakeswar at 23:15 Hours to reach Sheoraphuli at 00:05 Hours)

• 63501 Howrah – Barddhaman (via Bandel) MEMU local (leaving Howrah at 01:45 Hours) will stop at all stations enroute from Howrah to Bandel on 29.09.2025, 30.09.2025, 01.10.2025 and 02.10.2025.

• 37220 Bandel – Howrah local (leaving Bandel at 05:40 Hours) will run as per its own path and timings on all the above mentioned festival days.  

Moreover, all EMU locals of Howrah Division will follow Sunday running on 29.09.2025, 30.09.2025, 01.10.2025 and 02.10.2025 (for Durga Puja), 06.10.2025 (for Laxmi Puja and 20.10.2025 (for Kali Puja) upto 15:00 Hours (on originating basis) and thereafter as per weekdays service.
