UPITS-2025: Visitors from India and abroad witness Yogi govt’s smart policing

Greater Noida/Lucknow, Sept 2025 : Uttar Pradesh, once notorious for poor law and order, has become a global example of smart policing and strong governance under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. At the UP Police stall in Hall 4 of UP International Trade Show-25, thousands of visitors from across India and abroad are flocking daily to witness the state’s high-tech policing initiatives.

The stall has become a hub of curiosity and learning, showcasing reforms and technology adopted in the last eight years. The Cyber Help Desk drew large crowds, where SIs explained digital arrests, online fraud prevention—including scams on platforms like Telegram—and the role of the U-Feed machine in extracting data from criminals’ phones.

Youth were also fascinated by breathalyzers with cameras, speed radar guns, body-worn cameras, and mobile data terminals, learning firsthand how technology prevents accidents and enhances vigilance. The ATS and STF weapons display, including a DRDO-made rocket launcher with a 2 km range and a firefighting robot, amazed visitors, demonstrating UP Police’s state-of-the-art capabilities.

Students expressed pride and inspiration, noting that UP Police is no longer limited to crime prevention but is leading in technology and security, earning admiration from citizens and foreign guests alike.

Students who visited the stall shared their experiences, saying that this was the first time they had seen police technology and equipment so closely. Amit, a student, stated: “It is heartening to see that our UP Police is no longer limited to crime prevention, but is also leading in every aspect of technology and security.”

In the last eight years, the UP Police has transformed into a smart policing force through comprehensive reforms:
• Modern technology deployed in police stations.
• Special cybercrime cells established to combat digital threats.
• Women’s safety strengthened through 1090 Women Power Line, Pink Booths, and Mission Shakti.
• Expanded CCTV networks, ITS systems, and forensic technology for faster identification and arrest of criminals.
• Strict implementation of the Gangster Act and encounter policy to curb organized crime.
These initiatives have enhanced law and order, public safety, and citizen confidence, making UP a model for smart policing.

Since taking office in 2017, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has focused on transforming policing in Uttar Pradesh. These reforms have reshaped the state’s law and order landscape, resulting in lower crime rates, greater confidence among women and businesses, and a safer environment for investment.

The UP Police stall is more than a technology display—it symbolizes the state’s journey from poor law and order to a model of safety and governance. Today, high-tech equipment, modern weapons, and trained personnel stand as proof that citizens are secure under Yogi’s leadership and that the rule of law has been firmly established.
