‘Sahkar Membership Drive’ Gains Momentum — 3,207 Camps Held Across Rajasthan, Focus on Engaging Youth and Women in Cooperatives
Jaipur, Oct 2025 : Under the ongoing ‘Sahkar Membership Drive’, being conducted by the State Government from October 2 to 15, a total of 3,207 PACS-level camps have been successfully organized across Rajasthan till Tuesday. Through these camps, the membership of cooperative societies has been expanding rapidly, and other activities under the campaign are progressing smoothly.
On Tuesday alone, 630 PACS-level camps were organized across the state. So far, the Department of Cooperation has received proposals to establish 959 new PACS, and land identification for warehouse construction by 1,076 PACS and KVSS has been completed. Additionally, under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme, Aadhaar seeding for 18,595 farmers and e-KYC for 8,419 farmers have been completed. The campaign is witnessing an active push to connect more youth and women with cooperative societies, while also spreading awareness about the new Cooperative Act. So far, nearly 2.5 lakh people have been informed about its key provisions.
Special emphasis is being placed on mobilizing youth and women through the participation of educational institutions, NGOs, Rajeevika, and the Hindustan Scouts and Guides. On Tuesday, a youth interaction program was held at St. Wilfred’s College, Jaipur, under the membership campaign. During the event, officials from the Cooperation Department explained in detail the various dimensions of cooperatives and the welfare schemes of the department. Around 2,000 students filled membership forms on the spot.
The event was attended by Additional Registrar (II) Shri Sandeep Khandelwal, Additional Registrar (Jaipur Division) Shri Madanlal Gurjar, Managing Director of Central Cooperative Bank, Jaipur, Shri Dinesh Kumar Sharma, and Deputy Registrar (Jaipur City) Shri Shirish V. Chande.
