Green Mizoram Day 2025 Celebrated with Active Participation of Lunglei Government Departments and NGOs

Lunglei, Oct 2025: On Green Mizoram Day 2025, government departments and various organizations in Lunglei actively participated in tree planting, environmental awareness, and conservation activities under the guidance of the Environment, Forests & Climate Change (EF&CC) Department, Lunglei Division.

The Lunglei District Level Committee on Green Mizoram (DLCGM) reported that, during this year’s Green Mizoram Day, tree planting activities were conducted along Lunglei water bodies, Tlawng River, and Pialthleng area on September 22. Through the combined efforts of government departments, educational institutions, and local organizations, a total of 1,200 trees were planted across 56 locations, marking the event as a significant environmental initiative.

The DLCGM expressed appreciation for the enthusiastic participation and active contribution of government departments and organizations, noting that their collective efforts greatly enhanced the success of the Green Mizoram Day 2025 activities. They also emphasized the importance of continuing environmental awareness and sustainable practices through such coordinated participation.
