A fruitful discussion between CM Bhupendra Patel and Mr Nguyen Thanh Hai, the Ambassador of Vietnam
Gandhinagar, Oct 2025: The inaugural edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference is taking place at Ganpat University in Mehsana, North Gujarat. On the first day, the Chief Minister held one-on-one meetings with ambassadors and dignitaries from various countries.
As part of this series of meetings, Vietnam’s Ambassador, Mr Nguyen Thanh Ha, held discussions with the Chief Minister on potential areas of collaboration and cooperation between Gujarat and Vietnam. He highlighted the potential for outstanding collaboration in technology transfer, innovation, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the energy sector. During the meeting with the Chief Minister, the Vietnam Ambassador stated that around one lakh people from Gujarat visit Vietnam annually and highlighted that Vietnam imports cotton and silk from the state. He extended an invitation to Gujarat’s industries to invest in Vietnam. The CM warmly welcomed Vietnam’s participation in the Vibrant Regional Conference and assured the state government of its complete support.
Chief Secretary Shri Pankaj Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shri. M.K. Das, Additional Chief Secretary (Energy), Shri S.J. Haider, Principal Secretary (Industries), Ms Mamta Verma, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Smt. Avantika Singh and Secretary Dr Vikrant Pandey joined the meeting.
