Bhilala Community raising Social Awareness: Chief Minister Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that integrated welfare of tribal communities is the top priority of the state government. He emphasized that no individual from the tribal communities should be deprived of the benefits of government schemes. He said that the Bhilala community is a courageous and cultured community, which has resolved to eliminate social evils.

Dr. Yadav said that addiction is the root of destruction, ruining generations. The effort to eradicate social evils is a sign of social revolution. The Chief Minister was addressing the 12th Annual Conference organized by the Jai Omkar Adivasi Bhilala Samaj Organization at Kila Maidan, Dhar, on Saturday.

As part of the conference, the Bhilala community organized various programs such as a matrimonial meet for youth, employment registration camp, health check-up camp, de-addiction awareness camp, career guidance session, and awareness drives to eliminate social evils. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Pitampur Police Station (Bagdoon).

Honouring Tribal Heroes

Dr. Yadav said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has enhanced the glory of the community by including a determined female leader from the Bhilala community of Dhar in the Union Cabinet. The state government renamed Alirajpur to Aali-Rajpur. It also honoured tribal heroes and traditions by establishing a university in the name of Krantisurya Tantya Mama and celebrating the birth anniversaries of Maharaja Shankar Shah and Kunwar Raghunath Shah in a grand manner.

He said that the tribal community has made invaluable contributions to freedom struggle. The government has given the Bhagoria festival state-level recognition, honouring tribal folk traditions.

Chief Minister Yadav emphasized the government’s goal to economically empower and make every community self-reliant. There is speedy progress in agriculture, animal husbandry, fisheries, and industry. He said that there is no room for discrimination. The state government has extended reservation benefits to the underprivileged sections and has worked to integrate everyone into the mainstream of development.

He praised the Bhilala community’s social unity and self-reliance, saying it is inspiring other communities on the path of progress. Regarding the community’s various demands, he assured that all possible efforts will be made to take the Bhilala community to new heights of development.

Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Sushri Savitri Thakur, stated that both the central and state governments are continuously working for the empowerment of youth, farmers, and women. She shared that farmers across the country received a major benefit under the PM Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana today.

Dhar MP Gajendra Singh Patel said the Madhya Pradesh government is taking concrete steps for the overall development of tribal communities. He mentioned that the Waqf Amendment Act has secured the land rights of tribal brothers and sisters, bringing great relief to the community. The Bhilala community has expressed gratitude for this decision.

He also mentioned that community buildings for the Bhilala society are being constructed in Khargone and Barwani districts with financial assistance from the state government.

The program was attended by Minister for Scheduled Caste Welfare Nagar Singh Chauhan, Devendra Patel, former MP Chhatar Singh Darbar, all MLAs from the community, and a large number of community members.

At the beginning of the event, the President of Jai Omkar Adivasi Bhilala Samaj Organization, Shri B.S. Jamod, outlined the structure of the conference and upcoming activities.
