Kolar Major Lift Project to Include 44 Villages Near Bilkisganj

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, the state government is transferring relief assistance to help farmers free themselves from financial worries. Our government represents farmers, the poor, women and the underprivileged sections of society. Farmers are the backbone of India’s economy, and our administration stands firmly with them, working continuously for their prosperity. He said that while relief funds are being provided, now insurance claims will be distributed shortly, and the government remains committed to ensuring fair prices for agricultural produce. To guarantee better returns to soybean growers, the Bhavantar Scheme has been launched.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, addressing an event at Bilkisganj in Sehore district, transferred ₹118.41 crore to the accounts of 2, 05,977 farmers affected by yellow mosaic, pest infestation, and excessive rainfall. He also inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Poojan for 48 development projects worth ₹69.38 crore, including major construction and infrastructure works.

CM Dr. Yadav said that soldiers at the border and farmers in the fields both serve the nation in their own ways, earning equal respect from the government. He affirmed, “Our government is dedicated to the welfare of farmers, whether it is ensuring irrigation or guaranteeing fair crop prices”. The irrigated area in Madhya Pradesh has grown remarkably from just 7.5 lakh hectares earlier to 53 lakh hectares today. The state is now ensuring fair prices for soybeans and has started procuring Kodo-Kutki millet. By 2028, soybean is expected to fetch over ₹6,000 per quintal, and the government will purchase wheat next year at ₹2,700 per quintal.

Highlighting initiatives under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership,CM Dr. Yadav said that both soldiers’ and farmers’ lives have become more prosperous through dedicated efforts. The government is running programs at every level to ease farmers’ lives. School children are receiving free books and uniforms, and 1.27 crore women in Madhya Pradesh are getting monthly benefits under the Ladli Behna Yojana. He announced that after Diwali, Ladli Behans will receive an additional ₹250 on Bhai Dooj, and from next month, ₹1,500 will be deposited monthly in their accounts.

Encouraging farmers to adopt solar energy, the Chief Minister said that earlier they had to invest ₹2 lakh of the ₹5 lakh cost for a 5 HP solar pump, but now the government provides a 90% subsidy. The state has set a target to supply 32 lakh solar pumps to farmers. He said industrial development is being promoted through continuous investor summits to create more employment opportunities for the youth. Praising Sehore’s Sharbati wheat, CM Dr. Yadav said that under Prime Minister Shri Modi’s vision of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas,” the state government is working for the growth of every section of society. “Our goal is to make Madhya Pradesh capable, self-reliant, and number one in every field,” he asserted.

Revenue Minister Shri. Karansingh Verma said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Modi and Chief Minister Yadav, both the nation and the state are progressing rapidly. The government is implementing several welfare schemes for the poor, farmers, women and children to ensure that even the last person in society benefits.

  • Commendation of exhibitions set up by various departments and self-help groups, particularly the nutritious products prepared by women’s SHGs.

Farmers Receive Relief Assistance

CM Dr. Yadav transferred ₹101.70 crore to 1,87,140 farmers of eight tehsils affected by yellow mosaic and pest damage, and ₹16.70 crore to 18,837 soybean farmers of two tehsils affected by excessive rain. Crops in Bhairunda and Budhni were affected by heavy rainfall, while those in Ashta, Jawar, Rehti, Ichhawar, Shyampur, Doraha, Sehore rural, and Sehore urban areas suffered from disease.

Appreciation of Horticulture Exhibits

CM Dr. Yadav appreciated the Department of Horticulture’s exhibition showcasing custard apples, dragon fruit, capsicum, and processed products from PMFME units. Under the Mission for Integrated Horticulture Development 2025–26, he handed over keys to mini tractors to two farmers under the horticulture mechanisation scheme.

The event was attended by MLAs Shri Ramakant Bhargava, Shri Sudesh Rai, and Shri Gopalsingh Engineer; District President Shri Naresh Mewada; District Panchayat Chairperson Smt. Rachna Surendra Mewada; Backward Classes Commission Member Shri Sitaram Yadav; Municipal Council President Shri. Prince Rathore; and several other public representatives, officers and citizens.
