Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar Extends Diwali Greetings to the People of Maharashtra
“May the festival of Diwali bring joy, prosperity, and harmony into everyone’s life” – Deputy CM
Mumbai, Oct 2025: Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has extended his warm greetings to the people of Maharashtra on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights, joy, and unity. He wished that this festive season brings new hopes, opportunities, and the light of contentment into everyone’s lives.
In his message, Deputy CM Pawar highlighted the adverse impact of this year’s heavy rains and floods in the state, which caused significant losses to farmers, agriculture, and livestock. He emphasized that standing firmly with the affected farmers and flood-impacted communities is a social responsibility, and urged everyone to work together wholeheartedly to restore their lives and livelihoods. He also stressed the importance of continuing Maharashtra’s social tradition of including the flood-affected in the Diwali celebrations so they too can share in the festive joy.
Deputy CM Pawar noted that Diwali is not just the celebration of the light of lamps, but also a pledge to dispel darkness from our hearts. He called upon citizens to overcome ignorance, superstition, injustice, and harmful traditions, and to bring wisdom, knowledge, and progress into their lives. The festival, he said, reinforces the values of social unity, brotherhood, and harmony.
He urged the people of Maharashtra to walk together on the path of progress, development, and cooperation, and expressed his hope that the light of Diwali will usher in a new chapter of peace, stability, and prosperity in the state.
Conveying his heartfelt wishes, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar extended Diwali greetings to all citizens of Maharashtra, hoping that the festival brings joy, hope, and well-being to every household.
