Over 1,200 Cultural Events to Be Organized Across Maharashtra in a Year: Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar
“Deep Utsav Diwali Pahat” musical programme featuring songs by Asha Bhosle and Sudhir Phadke held at Kalidas Auditorium, Mulund, Mumbai
Mumbai, Oct 2025 : Maharashtra will host over 1,200 cultural events in 365 days to promote and preserve the state’s rich cultural heritage among the masses, said Minister for Cultural Affairs and IT, and Mumbai Suburban Guardian Minister Adv. Ashish Shelar.
Speaking at the “Deep Utsav Diwali Pahat” cultural programme organized at Kalidas Auditorium, Mulund, Shelar said that the Department of Cultural Affairs is implementing several initiatives to spread Maharashtra’s glorious traditions and arts throughout the state.
The “Deep Utsav Diwali Pahat” event, organized by the Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Mumbai, was held to mark the festive occasion of Diwali with a grand musical celebration. The audience was treated to a mesmerizing performance featuring timeless melodies originally sung by Asha Bhosle and Sudhir Phadke (Babuji), bringing alive the golden era of Marathi and Hindi music.
Renowned singers Ajit Parab, Abhishek Nalawade, Shalmali Sukhtankar, and Prajakta Satradekar captivated the audience with their soulful renditions. The event was compered by Milind Kulkarni, while the musical arrangement was handled by Deepak Kumthekar and Amit Gothivarekar.
Several dignitaries graced the occasion, including MLA Manoj Kotak, Corporator Prabhakar Shinde, Northeast Mumbai District President Deepak Dalvi, and Corporator Mrs. Smita Kamble.
The programme received an overwhelming response from the enthusiastic audience of Mulund, who celebrated the musical morning with great excitement and festive spirit.
