Mizoram Stenographers Service Association Holds Golden Jubilee Conference
Aizawl, Oct 2025: The Mizoram Stenographers Service Association (MSSA) today held its Annual General Conference and Golden Jubilee Celebration at the I&PR Auditorium, Treasury Square, Aizawl.
This year’s Annual General Conference marks the 50th anniversary (Golden Jubilee) of the establishment of MSSA, and members of the association participated in the event with great enthusiasm.
The conference was chaired by Vice President Pi R. Lalhmingliani, while President Pi Daphne Zosangpuii addressed the gathering and delivered a speech to the assembled members.
Currently, the Mizoram Stenographers Service Association has 163 regular members and 2 affiliated members, bringing the total to 165 members. Around 100 members attended the conference in person.
The MSSA comprises Personal Assistants (PAs), Senior Personal Assistants (Sr. PAs), Private Secretaries (PS), Principal Private Secretaries (PPS), and Senior PPS officers working in various government offices and officers’ chambers across Mizoram. These stenographers play a crucial role as the key administrative and communication support staff in government departments.
In her address, President Pi Daphne Zosangpuii emphasized the importance of the stenographers’ service and urged all members to continue contributing diligently and sincerely to the functioning of the Mizoram government. She highlighted that as personal assistants and office aides to senior officers, MSSA members are among the most essential personnel in the state’s administrative machinery.
She also called upon members to uphold dedication, integrity, and discipline, and to work tirelessly for the progress and efficiency of Mizoram’s public service system.
