Gita Bhavans Planned in All Urban Bodies—Gita Jayanti to Be Marked with Devotion: CM Dr. Yadav
Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav announced that ‘Geeta Bhavans’ will be established in all urban local bodies across Madhya Pradesh. He said that all festivals will be celebrated with enthusiasm and devotion. The Geeta Jayanti too will be observed soon with reverence. The Chief Minister mentioned that the state government organised Shastra Pujan ceremonies on Vijaya Dashami with great zeal, while Govardhan Puja was celebrated during Diwali as a festival of cow protection. He said, “The state government is consistently working at all levels to promote cow rearing and safeguard cows. Besides supporting cow shelters, we have doubled the funds allocated for providing fodder to Cows.”
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing a gathering at Ganesh Parisar, Nanda Nagar, Indore, on Monday during a spiritual discourse by Malook Peethadhish Swami Rajendra Das Devacharya Maharaj.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a vibrant cultural resurgence is taking place in India, creating an atmosphere of faith and enthusiasm throughout the nation. Saints and sages are receiving due respect, and the number of devotees visiting religious sites has significantly increased. He shared that when presidents or prime ministers from other countries visit India, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi takes them to our temples and presents them with sacred texts such as the Geeta and the Ramayana.
Highlighting the cultural transformation in Madhya Pradesh, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that after the creation of Mahakal Lok in Ujjain, the city’s spiritual identity has been completely rejuvenated, drawing record numbers of devotees. The saga of Emperor Vikramaditya’s glory is being presented through a magnificent theatrical production titled Mahanatya Vikramaditya, which has been performed not only in Delhi but also at other venues. The Indian calendar now follows the Vikram Samvat, replacing the earlier Shaka Samvat, symbolising our civilizational heritage.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that due to Prime Minister Shri Modi’s resolve, a grand Kashi Vishwanath Corridor has come to life in Varanasi, and a majestic temple of Lord Shri Ram has been completed in Ayodhya. Under the Ram Path Project, the pilgrimage route marking every place touched by Lord Ram’s feet is being developed. Similarly, Chitrakoot Dham will undergo comprehensive restoration. He said, “The sacred sites associated with Lord Krishna’s divine plays will be developed as major pilgrimage destinations, while Janapav, the birthplace of Lord Parashuram, has already been transformed.” The Chief Minister stated that the state is determined to develop many such spiritual and cultural centers.
CM Dr. Yadav said that discourses delivered by saints instill good values and infuse new energy into society. When ordinary human thought reaches its limit that is where the thinking of saints begins. The human body is a divine creation filled with the presence of the Almighty in every atom. Saints help us realise this truth. Sitting in their company makes life auspicious and meaningful.
CM Dr. Yadav participated in the Vyas Peeth Puja and the Aarti ceremony, and extended a warm welcome to Swami Rajendra Das Devacharya Maharaj. Urban Development and Housing Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya said that the event was organized in memory of MLA Shri Ramesh Mendola’s parents. He emphasised that such spiritual gatherings should continue regularly.
On the occasion, Water Resources Minister Shri Tulsiram Silawat, Mayor Shri Pushyamitra Bhargava, MLAs Shri Madhu Verma and Shri Ramesh Mendola, Shri Sumit Mishra, Shri Shravan Singh Chawda, Dr. Nishant Khare, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Sudam Khade, Police Commissioner Shri Santosh Kumar Singh, Collector Shri Shivam Verma and Municipal Commissioner Shri Dilip Kumar Yadav were present.
