Bihar Residents’ Identity Shines through Simplicity, Sincerity and Skill: CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav extended warm greetings and best wishes to citizens on the auspicious occasion of the Chhath Mahaparv, celebrated with great devotion in Purvanchal and the North-Eastern regions. He said that the sacred festival of Chhath Maiya is based on scientific principles and revolves around the worship of the Sun and Water. Lord Suryanarayan sustains the universe by providing energy, while life itself has originated from water. The Chhath fast instills self-discipline, restraint and inner strength. The worship of the setting and rising sun makes this festival truly unique.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed devotees after participating in the Chhath Pooja organised at Vikram Sarovar, located within the Samrat Vikramaditya University campus in Ujjain, on Tuesday.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav stated that Bihar has long been a guiding force for India and remains under the divine blessings of the Almighty. Bihar is the land of Lord Buddha and Mahavir, who enlightened not only the nation but the entire world. The state has produced the highest number of IAS and IPS officers in the country. Through simplicity, sincerity, capability and merit, the people of Bihar have earned nationwide recognition. The Chief Minister further said that Madhya Pradesh shares an ancient and cultural bond with Bihar. Madhya Pradesh is often described as the maternal home of rivers. The sacred waters of Shipra Maiya reach Bihar through Chambal Maiya, Yamuna Maiya, and Ganga Maiya. Similarly, the Son River, originating from Amarkantak, enriches Bihar through the Ganga Maiya.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that mothers and sisters undertake the Chhath fast for the well-being of their families, the state, and the nation. Their selfless sacrifice nurtures the spirit of family unity. Our culture is founded on the power of motherhood; our nation reveres ‘Bharat Mata’. Mothers and sisters, while enduring hardships, pray for the well-being and happiness of their families. They are the greatest warriors in real life.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav emphasised that all festivals and traditions play a vital role in strengthening India’s unity. The devotion and sacrifice of mothers and sisters embody the essence of ‘Integrity’ and ‘Unity in Diversity’. This family-centered tradition has been observed for thousands of years. The festival of Chhath Maiya is also associated with Mata Sita. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a magnificent Ram Temple has been built in Ayodhya, and an equally grand temple dedicated to Mata Sita is being constructed in Sitamarhi at a cost of ₹800 crore. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the life of  Mata Sita inspires the entire nation. Born a princess, she chose the path of the forest, and her steadfast resolve embodied the essence of ‘Ram Rajya’.
