Eastern Railways implement augmentation of different type of Coaches with 05 Express Trains.

The augmentation of additional Coaches in popular Express trains is an ongoing initiative aimed at improving overall travel experience for passengers. Accordingly, in response to the overwhelming demand for tickets throughout the year, Railway has decided to augment additional Air-conditioned and Sleper Class Coaches in following Express trains:

One additional AC 3-Tier Economy Class & Sleeper Class Coach will be permanently augmented with 13418 / 13417 Malda Town – Digha – Malda Town Express leaving Malda Town with effect from 06.11.2025 & leaving Digha with effect from 06.11.2025. Additional 152 berths will be generated in each trip. The train will run with 16 Coaches instead of 14 Coaches.

One additional AC 3-Tier Economy Class & Sleeper Class Coach will be permanently augmented with 13419 / 13420 Bhagalpur – Muzaffarpur – Bhagalpur Express leaving Bhagalpur with effect from 06.11.2025 and leaving Muzaffarpur with effect from 06.11.2025. Additional 152 berths will be generated in each trip. The train will run with 19 Coaches instead of 17 Coaches.

One additional AC 2-Tier Coach will be augmented with 19608 / 19607 Madar Junction – Kolkata – Madar Junction Weekly Express leaving Madar Junction with effect from 03.11.2025 to 24.11.2025 & leaving Kolkata with effect from 06.11.2025 to 27.11.2025. Additional 52 berths will be generated in each trip.

One additional AC- First Class Coach will be augmented with 12988 / 12987 Ajmer – Sealdah – Ajmer Express leaving Ajmer with effect from 01.11.2025 to 30.11.2025, leaving Sealdah with effect from 02.10.2025 to 01.12.2025. Additional 18 berths will be generated in each trip.

One additional AC-3 tier Economy Coach & Sleeper Class Coach will be augmented with 12495 / 12496 Bikaner – Kolkata – Bikaner Express leaving Bikaner with effect from 06.11.2025 to 27.11.2025, leaving Kolkata with effect from 07.11.2025 to 28.11.2025. Additional 152 berths will be generated in each trip.
