PM Modi Accuses Congress–RJD of Deep Internal Rift, Promises Rapid Development for Bihar
Patna, Nov 2025 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), alleging that the two parties are deeply divided over the chief ministerial face for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections. Speaking at a massive rally in Araah, he claimed that the alliance partners were at odds from the very beginning. “I want to tell you a secret,” he said. “The Congress was not willing to give the chief ministerial post to the RJD. In a closed-door meeting, RJD leaders allegedly held guns to the heads of Congress leaders and forced them to declare the CM candidate.”
Accusing the opposition alliance of being “directionless and divided,” Prime Minister Modi alleged that the feud has grown so severe that the two sides are no longer coordinating on their manifestos or campaign strategies. “Their conflict is so intense that after the elections, they may even turn against each other,” he added.
Reiterating his long-standing criticism of the RJD era, he described it once again as a period of “jungle raj”—marked by fear, violence, corruption, and misgovernance. He recalled several past incidents, including the alleged abduction of a government doctor in Tarari in 2004, to underscore what he called the “lawlessness” of that period.
Expanding his attack on the Congress, the Prime Minister referred to the 1984 anti-Sikh riots, accusing the party of sheltering and honoring those responsible. “On November 1 and 2, 1984, Congress members carried out the Sikh massacre. Even today, the party has no remorse,” he said.
He further accused the Congress and RJD of supporting illegal immigrants, claiming that their policies were detrimental to Bihar’s identity and security. Shifting to national security, he invoked “Operation Sindoor,” asserting that India has shown its capability to take decisive action against terrorism. “Pakistan was shaken, but the Congress–RJD alliance became restless. While you felt proud, their royal family lost sleep,” he said.
On Article 370, Prime Minister Modi reminded the public that his government fulfilled its promise of full constitutional integration of Jammu and Kashmir. “After 70 years, Article 370 has been removed. Today, the Constitution of India applies completely in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
Turning to development, the Prime Minister highlighted what he called the NDA’s “honest and visionary” manifesto for Bihar. In contrast, he dismissed the opposition alliance’s manifesto as a bundle of “lies and deceit.” He reiterated the NDA’s goal of creating 10 million jobs in the coming years and emphasized that a clear roadmap had been laid out.
With growing global demand for Made in India products, Prime Minister Modi said the government aims to turn Bihar into a hub for Make in India manufacturing by strengthening small and cottage industries. Citing examples, he noted that Bihar—once dependent on other states for fish supply—has now become an exporter due to NDA’s supportive policies.
The Prime Minister also announced an increase in financial aid for small farmers under the PM-KISAN scheme. “At present, farmers receive ₹6,000 annually. The new NDA government will increase this amount by ₹3,000 for the farmers of Bihar,” he said. He also spoke of the newly launched Bihar Milk Mission, aimed at boosting the income of livestock farmers.
Concluding his address, Prime Minister Modi affirmed that the NDA’s vision focused on creating opportunities for Bihar’s youth within the state. “Our resolve is that Bihar’s young people will work in Bihar and bring pride to Bihar,” he said, emphasizing that the upcoming election would determine whether the state moves toward rapid development or returns to what he described as the “era of jungle raj.”
