Register Women for ‘Chief Minister – Majhi Ladki Bahin’ Scheme: Divisional Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Pandey

Yavatmal : The government has launched the ‘Chief Minister – Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme aimed at the economic upliftment of women. Divisional Commissioner Dr. Nidhi Pandey has emphasized the importance of registering as many women as possible for this scheme.

During a review meeting held at the Umarkhed rest house, Commissioner Dr. Pandey addressed various topics and gave these instructions. Present at the meeting were Collector Dr. Pankaj Asia, Additional Collector Anil Khandagale, Deputy Commissioner Shamkant Mhaske, Sub Divisional Officer Sakharam Mule, Assistant Commissioner of Municipal Administration Nilesh Jadhav, Tehsildar R.U. Suradkar, and Principal Mahesh Jamnor.

Dr. Pandey also reviewed several other schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Youth Work Training Scheme, Chief Minister’s Tirtha Darshan Scheme, Clean and Beautiful My Office, Sainik Ho For You, and Ek Haat Adihi – Welfare of the Handicapped. She stressed the importance of effectively implementing these schemes to benefit as many citizens as possible.

Following the meeting, Dr. Pandey visited the office of the Sub Divisional Officer, where she interacted with both working and retired revenue cadre officers and employees. She distributed benefit approval letters to disabled beneficiaries under the revenue week conducted by the Sub Divisional Officer’s office. She also reviewed the division of polling stations in the Umarkhed assembly constituency, building of polling stations, changes to polling station names, new voter registrations, and corrections of voter names. Benefit approval letters were distributed to Tanveer Mubeen, Anjali Ramrao Niradwar, and Fijanaj Mumtaj.

Inspection of Sericulture

Dr. Pandey inspected the successful sericulture activities of Manohar Shivram Wankhede, a farmer in Sukli near Umarkhed. Wankhede has been cultivating mulberry on one acre of land, producing four batches of silk cocoons annually, generating an approximate income of Rs. 2,50,000 each year.

Damage Inspection at Arni

The Divisional Commissioner inspected crops damaged by heavy rains near Digras in Arni. Due to continuous rainfall, the nearby drain overflowed, damaging the crops of Nishad Katpilwar,
