Iron Man Sardar Patel Played Important Role in Building Modern India : CM Dr. Yadav

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, played the most crucial role in the making of modern India. By integrating numerous princely states, Sardar Patel laid the foundation of an undivided India. He united the country’s vast diversity into a bond of unity. During the time of independence, keeping in view the events unfolding in Pakistan, Sardar Patel ensured the safety and stability of the nation.

Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India today stands strong before the world — a strength that is rooted in the vision and work of Sardar Patel. To commemorate his glorious deeds on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary, Unity Marches are being organized across the state.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav addressed the gathering at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Park, Vallabh Bhavan, as part of the Unity March being held in the Bhopal–Sehore parliamentary constituency, with the theme “Ek Bharat – Atmanirbhar Bharat”.

Tricolour Balloons Released

After lighting the ceremonial lamp, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav inaugurated the event and planted jackfruit and mango saplings as part of the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam”. He offered floral tributes to the statue of Sardar Patel and released tricolour balloons into the sky as the police band played patriotic songs. The event resounded with the collective singing of Vande Mataram.

Chief Minister Dr. Yadav then flagged off the Unity March, in which more than 2,000 youth participated.

Several States Became Part of United India Due to Patel’s Efforts: MP Shri Alok Sharma

Member of Parliament Shri Alok Sharma said that on the occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Iron Man Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, a three-day Unity March (Padayatra) is being held in every parliamentary constituency across the country. Sardar Patel integrated 562 princely states, thus laying the foundation of a united India.

Although India attained freedom from British rule in 1947, several princely states, including Bhopal, Junagadh, and Hyderabad, initially refused to join India. It was through Sardar Patel’s determined efforts that these states eventually became part of an undivided India. He further informed that similar rallies will also be held in Berasia and Sehore.

Senior legislator Shri Hemant Khandelwal said that Sardar Patel was a personality who dedicated his life to uniting the nation. Under the current leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India has become the world’s fourth-largest economy. The government is making every possible effort to familiarize the younger generation with Sardar Patel’s vision of an undivided India.

The event was attended by Bhopal Mayor Smt. Malti Rai, MLA Shri Bhagwandas Sabnani, former MP Shri Alok Sanjar, former MLA Shri Dhruv Narayan Singh, Municipal Corporation Chairman Shri Kishan Suryavanshi, Shri Ravindra Yati, other public representatives, and a large number of youth.
