Three-Day Leitlangpui Music Festival 2025 Concludes Successfully
Lunglei, Nov 2025: The three-day Leitlangpui Music Festival (LMF) 2025, held from November 13 to 15 at Kawmzawl, Pukpui, Lunglei, concluded successfully tonight with an impressive closing programme.
Speaking at the closing night, Tourism Minister Pu Lalnghinglova Hmar expressed his happiness over the successful organisation of the festival and said that the Government aims to further promote tourism through similar events. He emphasised the importance of self-respect, participation, and appreciation of Mizo songs, artistes, festivals and other cultural expressions within the Mizo community to strengthen such events and attract more tourists.

He added that music and culture are central to Mizo identity, and that festivals like LMF boost local livelihoods by drawing visitors and supporting the local economy. He also announced upcoming events, including the Aizawl Winter Festival from December 15–23 and the Sakawrhmuituai Sunset Programme on December 31, both aimed at bringing more tourists to Mizoram during the festive season.
The closing event was also attended by Lunglei High Powered Committee Vice Chairman Pu V. Malsawmtluanga and Lunglei West MLA Pu T. Lalhlimpuia, who both expressed appreciation for the successful organisation of the festival.
On the final day, various stalls were opened to the public during the daytime, along with a health screening camp organised by the Lunglei Deputy Commissioner’s Office in observance of Janjatiya Gaurav Diwas 2025. Stage performances began at 4 PM, featuring Vuantea, Rosalind & Olaftea, Feli Band, Deborah Ralte, Cassettes, Ruatpuii, Saka, Bzi Tochhawng, Mimi Renthlei, Lalsangliana (Taitea), Trance Effect, Albatross and Lilac & Jacks, who brought the festival to a vibrant close.
LMF 2025 was funded with ₹25 lakh from the Tourism Ministry and ₹25 lakh from the Government of Mizoram, supplemented by sponsorship contributions from various agencies and organisations. In addition to performances by popular artistes from across the state and the country, around 100 stalls offering food, handlooms, handicrafts, local products, entertainment and information booths were opened to the public. The festival saw strong public turnout and enthusiastic participation from both visitors and vendors.
