Roadmap for Pravasi Rajasthani Day Reviewed; CM Sharma Calls for Grand Outreach

Review Meeting on Pravasi Rajasthani Day — A Roadmap Showcasing the Contribution of Non-Resident Rajasthanis to a Developed Rajasthan — Sectoral Sessions to Highlight Emerging Industrial Landscape and Investment Opportunities — Grand Event Planned to Connect Global Rajasthanis, Says CM Bhajanlal Sharma

Jaipur, Nov 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that Pravasi Rajasthani Day is not just an event but a comprehensive roadmap highlighting the contribution of the non-resident Rajasthani community in the journey towards a developed Rajasthan. He said that the sectoral sessions on education, health, industry, tourism, and water will focus on Rajasthan’s emerging industrial landscape and investment opportunities. The goal is to ensure that every non-resident Rajasthani feels connected to their home state and that these sessions help turn this roadmap into reality.

Addressing a review meeting held at the Chief Minister’s Office on Wednesday, Shri Sharma said that for the first time, the state government will organise Pravasi Rajasthani Day on 10 December in honour of the global Rajasthani community. He directed officials to ensure wide publicity through all possible platforms so the event reaches every non-resident Rajasthani and becomes a historic occasion that unites Rajasthani brothers and sisters across the world.

Sectoral Sessions to Feature Experts and Top Institutions

The meeting was informed that various sectoral sessions will be organised to introduce the community to opportunities in the state and gather their suggestions. Experts from IITs, IIMs, industry groups, health institutions, and international organisations will participate.
The education session will feature institutions like Birla Institute, IIM, IIT, and Delhi Public School (UAE). Health sessions will include experts such as the Director of the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences and the CFO of Tata 1MG. Industry sessions will involve Welspun India Ltd. and Borosil Renewables Ltd., while the water session will feature organisations like Ecolab India and the National Institute of Urban Affairs.
The Chief Minister directed officials to finalise the list of invited speakers and participants for these sessions.

Showcasing Rajasthan’s Heritage and Development Journey

Shri Sharma said that the event will also present Rajasthan’s rich heritage alongside the state’s development journey. Exhibitions will highlight Rajasthan’s progress, innovations, and achievements. He instructed that all arrangements be completed with high quality and within the timeline.
He also directed that cultural programmes emphasise the state’s folk art and culture, and that the selection process for the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards be transparent, fair, and aligned with predefined criteria.

The CM stressed timely implementation of plans related to security, traffic, parking, reception, and protocol for the event at JECC, Jaipur. Responsibilities for hospitality, transportation, accommodation, medical, and emergency services should be clearly assigned.

Growing Participation of Non-Resident Rajasthanis

A presentation revealed that efforts are underway to ensure maximum participation through Rajasthan Foundation chapters and diaspora organisations. A large number of non-resident Rajasthanis are already registering for the event. The screening committee has also completed the evaluation of applications received for the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards.

About Pravasi Rajasthani Day

It is noteworthy that during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma had announced that 10 December would be celebrated annually as Pravasi Rajasthani Day, along with establishing a dedicated department for non-resident Rajasthanis.
Accordingly, the upcoming Pravasi Rajasthani Day on 10 December will include sectoral sessions on industry, tourism, education, health, and water, along with the presentation of the Pravasi Rajasthani Samman Awards. A special NRR Open House will also be organised to discuss industrial and other opportunities in the state.
Meanwhile, the Cabinet has already approved the formation of the “National and International Non-Resident Rajasthani Affairs Department” to strengthen engagement between the diaspora and the state government.

Chief Secretary Shri V. Srinivas and senior officials from related departments were present in the meeting.
