Transparent and Digital System for Paddy Procurement from Farmers

Raipur, Nov 2025 : The procurement of paddy at support price is running smoothly across the state. With organized management, transparent procedures, and convenient facilities, farmers are selling their produce without any difficulties. All essential arrangements—such as drinking water, shade, tokens, gunny bags, weighing machines, and easy transport—have been ensured at paddy procurement centers. These measures have relieved farmers from long waiting hours and unnecessary inconvenience.

At the Bargawan paddy procurement center, farmer Geeta Patel from Balodikala village in Bemetara district sold 105 quintals of paddy today. The entire procurement process at the center is being carried out transparently through digital systems, ensuring farmers receive receipts instantly and payments on time. Geeta Patel appreciated the arrangements, stating that the provisions made by the government and district administration have made the selling process completely hassle-free. Timely token issuance, accurate weighing, and assured payment have become major support for farmers.

With the active efforts of the district administration, procurement operations at 129 paddy collection centers in Bemetara are running efficiently. The administration had undertaken extensive preparations in advance to ensure farmers receive all facilities without any obstacles. Regular monitoring, site inspections, and prompt resolution mechanisms by officials have greatly benefited farmers.

At the Bargawan center too, procurement is progressing rapidly and transparently, with a large number of farmers arriving daily to sell their paddy. Improved procurement arrangements and administrative vigilance have strengthened farmers’ trust in the system.
