Chief Minister Pays Tribute to Martyrs of 26/11 Terror Attacks

Mumbai, Nov 2025 : On November 26, 2008, Mumbai was targeted in a heinous terrorist attack. While repelling this attack, several officers and staff of the Mumbai Police as well as security personnel sacrificed their lives. Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paid homage to the brave martyrs who laid down their lives during the incident. He offered floral wreaths at their memorial located in the premises of the Mumbai Police Commissioner’s office.

The tribute ceremony at the martyrs’ memorial was attended by Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narvekar, Minister of Cultural Affairs Adv. Ashish Shelar, Minister of Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Employment Mangalprabhat Lodha, Chief Secretary Rajesh Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary of Home Department Iqbal Singh Chahal, Director General of Police Rashmi Shukla, Mumbai Police Commissioner Deven Bharti, senior police officers, and members of the martyrs’ families. All attendees paid their respects by offering floral wreaths.

During the event, Chief Minister Fadnavis met the families of the martyrs and expressed his condolences. The parade was conducted by Reserve Police Inspector Ramesh Lokhande, with the band led by Police Inspector Sanjay Kalyane. The programme coordination was managed by Police Inspector Rajesh Khupkar. Officers, staff, retired officials of the Home Department, and martyrs’ family members were also present at the ceremony.
