Jharkhand Marks One Year of Hemant Soren’s Second Term with Mass Recruitment Drive
Ranchi, Nov 2025 : Marking one year of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s second term, the Jharkhand government celebrated “Abua Sarkar” Day on Friday with a major state-level event at Ranchi’s Morabadi Ground. The occasion also coincided with the 25th anniversary of Jharkhand’s formation, making the day especially significant for the administration and the people of the state.
At the event, Chief Minister Soren distributed 8,792 appointment letters to newly selected candidates across a range of government departments. The posts included Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Superintendent of Prisons, Jharkhand Education Service Officer, District and Labour Superintendent, Probation Officer, Inspector, Dentist, Assistant Professor, Entomologist, and other key roles.
Addressing the gathering, Soren said that thousands of capable young individuals were being given an opportunity to serve the state through government positions. He highlighted that nearly 9,000 appointment letters had been distributed this year alone and assured that a total of 16,000 government recruitments would be completed by 2024.
The Chief Minister also noted the growing opportunities in the private sector. He said that over 8,000 youth secured private-sector jobs this year, and between 2020 and 2024, the state generated 24,000–25,000 government jobs and nearly 28,000 private-sector employment opportunities. According to him, this momentum reflected the state’s transparent recruitment mechanisms and rising public trust. “In our 25-year-old state, such large-scale appointments have rarely occurred at one time,” he said.
While speaking, Soren became emotional as he remembered the late Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, whom he described as the inspiration behind Jharkhand’s struggle and identity. He accused the opposition of attempting to mislead the public and disrupt the recruitment efforts. “Despite all conspiracies, we kept moving forward and continued to create opportunities for our youth,” he said, stressing that the entire recruitment process was transparent with “no place for money or lobbying.”
Soren also highlighted a significant rise in women’s recruitment, calling it a reflection of Jharkhand’s evolving socio-cultural environment. He urged the newly appointed officers to work as partners in the state’s development journey and to inspire young people in their respective districts.
He added that the government was focusing on strengthening educational and training institutions to equip future generations for mainstream development.
The event was attended by Cabinet Ministers Radha Krishna Kishore, Irfan Ansari, Yogendra Prasad, Shilpi Neha Tirkey, Sanjay Prasad, Sudibya Kumar Sonu, Deepika Pandey Singh, Hafizul Ansari, Chamra Linda, Deepak Birua, MP Mahua Maji, and MLA Kalpana Soren, along with several public representatives.
