Telangana to Invite PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi and Kharge for ‘Telangana Rising Global Summit’ on December 8–9
Dec 2025 : The Telangana government has announced that it will extend invitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge to participate in the prestigious Telangana Rising Global Summit, scheduled to be held on December 8 and 9 at Bharat Future City in Hyderabad. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will personally meet the three national leaders to formally invite them to the event.
According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), the government aims to bring together national and international representatives to ensure the two-day summit becomes a landmark event for Telangana and a catalyst for future economic growth. The state government will invite Union Ministers, Chief Ministers from various states, global industrialists, renowned economists, sportspersons, diplomats, media professionals and experts across diverse sectors.

To streamline the invitation process, the government will appoint an invitation committee responsible for reaching out to high-profile participants. State ministers and senior bureaucrats will extend invitations to leading personalities in different fields. A dedicated website, managed by the invitation committee, will also be launched to facilitate communication, coordination and updates related to the summit.
The invitation committee, led by Special Chief Secretary Sabyasachi Ghosh, will oversee the issuance of invitations, guest travel arrangements and hospitality services. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will monitor the overall progress through a dashboard system designed to track responses and logistical details in real time. According to Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary to the government, invitations have already been issued to 4,500 representatives, and nearly 1,000 guests have confirmed their attendance so far.
One of the highlights of the summit will be the release of the “Telangana Rising 2047” vision document, outlining a long-term development roadmap for the state. Speaking to the media, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said the document draws lessons from past experiences and sets a direction for future generations. He emphasised that the state aims to strengthen its economy by partnering with global corporations to create large-scale employment opportunities for Telangana’s youth.
The Chief Minister noted that the vision document focuses on long-term strategy and inclusive development, prepared in collaboration with organisations including NITI Aayog and the Indian School of Business (ISB). Expert teams are currently conducting detailed analyses to finalise sector-specific action plans that align with the state’s growth objectives.
Highlighting the government’s new development approach, Revanth Reddy explained that Telangana will be divided into three strategic economic zones. The Core Urban Region Economy (CURE) will be prioritised to drive overall development, with a special focus on addressing rising pollution levels. The Chief Minister expressed concern about worsening air quality in metropolitan cities and reiterated his commitment to transforming Greater Hyderabad into a pollution-free urban centre.
As part of this strategy, the government plans to convert the Core Urban Region into a service-sector-led economic zone, shifting pollution-emitting industries outside the core area. Major projects such as the Musi River Rejuvenation and expansion of the Hyderabad Metro Rail network are integral to the redevelopment of this region.
Beyond the core urban belt, the proposed Regional Ring Road (RRR)—spread across 360 km outside the existing Outer Ring Road (ORR)—will be developed into a Peri-Urban Region Economic (PURE) zone. Key infrastructure initiatives including Bharat Future City, a Greenfield Highway, a Bullet Train corridor and improved connectivity to Machilipatnam port will be established in this zone to unlock new economic potential.
The state government believes the Telangana Rising Global Summit will position the state as a hub of innovation, sustainability and global collaboration, while setting the foundation for its long-term vision for 2047.
Team Maverick.
