State-Level International Day of Persons with Disabilities Celebration to Be Held in Surajpur

Raipur, Dec 2025 : A grand state-level celebration will be organised on December 3 in Surajpur district on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The event will be held in the presence of Chief Guest, Women & Child Development and Social Welfare Minister, Smt. Laxmi Rajwade. The programme, to be hosted at the Rangmanch near the Surajpur Municipal Council office, will focus on promoting the rights, dignity, equal opportunities, and empowerment of persons with disabilities.

The event will be presided over by Food Minister and District In-Charge Minister, Shri Dayal Das Baghel. Several distinguished guests will attend, including Shri Ramsevak Paikra, Chairman of Chhattisgarh State Forest Development Corporation; Shri Chintamani Maharaj, MP from Sarguja; Shri Bhulan Singh Marabi, MLA from Premnagar; Smt. Shakuntala Porte, MLA from Pratappur; Smt. Chandramani Paikra, District Panchayat President; and Smt. Swati Singh, Janpad President of Surajpur, along with various public representatives and eminent citizens.

The state-level programme will feature special assistance initiatives for persons with disabilities, informative activities, awareness sessions, and cultural performances. The objective of the event is to strengthen their social participation and promote a sensitive, inclusive environment that supports their overall empowerment.
