Safe Cesarean Deliveries Begin in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chauki District, Bringing Relief from Long Travel for Treatment

Raipur, Dec 2025 : The Health Department in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagarh Chauki district has been taking continuous and effective steps to strengthen maternal and child health services, leading to significant improvements in healthcare delivery across the district. The successful introduction of cesarean delivery services has emerged as a major achievement. Previously, high-risk pregnant women had to be referred to the District Hospital in Rajnandgaon, which involved long and challenging travel.

Now, with specialist doctors available locally, state-of-the-art delivery rooms, and well-equipped operation theaters, safe and timely delivery services are accessible within the district. So far, 15 successful cesarean deliveries have been performed, providing new strength to maternal and child health in the area.

Under the Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan, pregnancies with high-risk conditions such as anemia, pregnancy-induced hypertension, diabetes, thyroid disorders, and blood-related complications require specialized care. The local health centers now ensure 24-hour medical services, enabling pregnant women to receive prompt treatment whenever needed. The availability of cesarean facilities ensures safe and expert care for high-risk mothers close to home.

The Chief Medical and Health Officer highlighted that providing uninterrupted and free health services to all residents remains a top priority of the department. In line with this, on December 1, 2025, the Community Health Center in Manpur successfully conducted a cesarean delivery along with 16 sterilization surgeries for women, demonstrating the efficiency and dedication of the district health team.

This milestone reflects the district’s strengthened healthcare capabilities and commitment to improving maternal and child health outcomes through accessible, high-quality medical services.
