Preparations Finalized for First Pravasi Rajasthani Day

Jaipur, December 2025: Preparations for the inaugural ‘Pravasi Rajasthani Day’, initiated by Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, have entered the final stage. Scheduled for 10 December in Jaipur, the capital is being adorned with greenery, decorations, and cleanliness drives. Over 8,700 participants from India and abroad, including industrialists and diaspora members, have registered for the event.

Chief Secretary V. Srinivas and ACS (Industries & Commerce) Shikhar Agrawal inspected the venue at JECC, Sitapura, reviewing preparations for the main ceremony, sectoral sessions, and the ‘Pragati Path’ showcasing state government achievements. The Chief Secretary directed officials to complete all arrangements within 48 hours.

The event aims to reconnect Pravasi Rajasthanis with their roots and encourage their participation in the state’s development. A new policy has also been formulated to address challenges faced by the diaspora. The venue will highlight Rajasthan’s culture and heritage, ensuring visitors leave with memorable experiences.

Senior officials including JDA Commissioner Anandi, RECO MD Shivangi Swarnkar, Rajasthan Foundation Commissioner Dr. Manisha Arora, Municipal Commissioner Dr. Gaurav Saini, and BIP Additional Commissioner Jugal Kishore Meena were present during the inspection.

Tourism arrangements have been made for visiting protected monuments and wildlife areas, with nodal officers appointed by the Archaeology & Museums Department and Forest Department.

This marks the first Pravasi Rajasthani Day following the Chief Minister’s announcement last year at the Pravasi Rajasthani Conclave during the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit. The event’s key objective is to unite the Rajasthani diaspora and strengthen their connection to their roots.
