‘Honor Run’ Marathon Organized in Honour of Ex-Servicemen
The Unwavering Loyalty of Brave Soldiers Towards the Nation Is an Inspiration for Us; It Is the Duty of Every Citizen to Give Them Due Respect – Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma
Jaipur, December 2025 : Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma said that our brave soldiers serve the nation selflessly under difficult conditions while staying away from their families. It is due to their indomitable courage and sacrifice that all of us citizens are able to live in peace and comfort. He said that our ex-servicemen are not merely retired individuals, but symbols of experience and discipline. Their unwavering loyalty towards the nation is an inspiration for all of us. It is the duty of every citizen of the country to give proper respect and honour to the soldiers.

Shri Sharma on Sunday flagged off the ‘Honor Run’ marathon at Albert Hall in Jaipur, organized by the South Western Command of the Army to honour the bravery and sacrifices of ex-servicemen. The marathon was organized as part of various events being held on the occasion of Army Day (January 15). Addressing the marathon, the Chief Minister said that this run is an opportunity to express respect and gratitude towards those immortal sons of the nation who sacrificed everything for the defence of the motherland. Its objective is to honour the courage, sacrifice, and indomitable spirit of our ex-servicemen, who served the nation with selflessness.
The Chief Minister said that through the Honor Run, a message is being conveyed that Rajasthan stands shoulder to shoulder with its soldiers. He said that the organization of the Honor Run is an expression of our collective consciousness. He appealed to the youth to draw inspiration from the sacrifice, courage, and patriotism of our valiant soldiers and contribute to nation-building.
Great Enthusiasm and Energy Seen in the ‘Honor Run’
Three categories of races — 5 kilometres, 10 kilometres, and 21 kilometres — were organized in the Honor Run marathon at Albert Hall. Army personnel, ex-servicemen, and members of the general public participated in the marathon with great enthusiasm. Amid patriotic songs, the atmosphere echoed with resounding slogans of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.
During the programme, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the South Western Command, Lieutenant General Manjinder Singh, presented a memento to the Chief Minister. Former Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Madhavendra Singh and Jaipur District Collector Dr. Jitendra Kumar Soni, along with a large number of army personnel, ex-servicemen, and citizens, were also present on the occasion.
