Adani Group Invests Rs 10,000 Crore in Telangana, Expands Footprint Across Defence, Data Centres and Infrastructure

Hyderabad, Dec 2025 : The Adani Group has invested nearly Rs 10,000 crore in Telangana over the last three years and is keen on expanding its presence further in the state, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) Managing Director Karan Adani said on Monday. Addressing the Telangana Rising Global Summit at the upcoming Bharat Future City, he said the group’s investments have significantly strengthened the state’s infrastructure and manufacturing ecosystem while generating employment for over 7,000 people.

Describing the summit as a reflection of Telangana’s economic ambition, Karan Adani said the platform showcased the state’s confidence in shaping a progressive, future-ready economy. He praised the leadership of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, stating that Telangana is currently witnessing an era of clarity in vision, transparent governance, and decisive leadership.

“Under the leadership of the Chief Minister, Telangana has shown rare clarity of purpose in Indian public life. The emphasis on transparent governance, swift decision-making, and long-term economic planning has created an environment where industries like ours can invest with confidence,” he said.

He further added that what makes Telangana stand out is its commitment to quality growth, where innovation, sustainability, skill development, and global competitiveness go hand in hand. Over the past few years, the Adani Group has built a deep and growing partnership with the Telangana government, translating policy vision into concrete investments on the ground.

Karan Adani said the group has initiated major investments across key sectors such as defence manufacturing, green data centres, renewable energy, and cement manufacturing, aligning its expansion strategy with Telangana’s development priorities.

Highlighting the group’s contribution to India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat mission, he said the Adani Group has established a world-class defence and aerospace park in Hyderabad. This facility is India’s first long-endurance Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) manufacturing unit, supplying advanced UAVs to the Indian armed forces as well as to global markets. Today, the facility provides direct employment to more than 1,500 youth and supports thousands more through its supply chain.

In the digital infrastructure space, Karan Adani revealed that the group is setting up a 48-megawatt green data centre in Telangana with an investment of Rs 2,500 crore. This cutting-edge facility will be powered by clean energy and will support emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, and high-performance computing. He said it will play a crucial role in meeting the growing digital demands of India’s fast-expanding economy.

He also highlighted the massive growth Telangana has witnessed in capital and logistics infrastructure in recent years. The Adani Group, he said, has played a vital role in strengthening the state’s road network, helping position Telangana as a fast-emerging logistics and connectivity hub.

“With a total investment of Rs 4,000 crore in road infrastructure, the Adani Group has built over 100 kilometres of highways connecting key districts such as Mancherial, Suryapet, Kodad, and Khammam. These projects have significantly improved regional connectivity and logistics efficiency,” he noted.

To support the state’s booming construction and infrastructure sectors, Adani Cements has separately invested Rs 2,000 crore to establish state-of-the-art cement manufacturing facilities in Telangana with a combined capacity of seven million tonnes per annum. These plants are expected to strengthen the state’s industrial foundation while ensuring sustainable and high-quality construction material.

Reaffirming the group’s long-term commitment, Karan Adani said Telangana will continue to remain a strategic growth destination for the Adani Group as it expands its investments in sustainable infrastructure, advanced manufacturing, and next-generation digital technologies.
