All-Women Graduation Parade Marks Milestone in Police Empowerment
Symbol of Women Empowerment: All-Women Graduation Parade Completed by 317 Trainees; DGP Rajeev Sharma Says Justice is Not Just Legal Process but Also Respect and Swift Relief for Victims
Jaipur, December 2025 : The graduation parade of 317 female constables in training at the Rajasthan Police Academy was held on Monday, 8 December. This included 241 female constables from Rajasthan Police and 76 from the Department of Telecommunications. The parade’s chief guest, Director General of Police (DGP) Rajeev Kumar Sharma, inspected the parade and described it as a symbol of women empowerment.
During the ceremony, DGP Sharma was saluted by the parade. He inspected the parade, observed the arrival of the national flag and police color party, and the parade’s salute to the national flag. Retired DGP P.S. Bains, K.L. Barwa, DG Law and Order Sanjay Agrawal, DG Traffic Anil Paliwal, and several senior police officers were present. RPA Director Sanjeeb Kumar Narjari and Additional Director Shankar Datt Sharma welcomed the guests.
21st Century’s Biggest Reform is the New Justice Code
DGP Sharma highlighted the features of the new justice codes, saying they are created for the citizens. Quoting Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, he said, “These three new laws and their implementation represent the biggest reform of India’s criminal justice system in the 21st century.” The laws integrate technology to address challenges over the next 50 years. Once fully implemented, any case can be decided by the Supreme Court within three years. Provisions dealing with crimes against women and children have been strengthened, with a separate chapter added.
Rajasthan Police Preparing 1,500+ Master Trainers for Effective Implementation
Addressing the ceremony, DGP Sharma said under CM Bhajan Lal Sharma’s guidance, Rajasthan Police is fully committed to modernization and effective implementation of the new criminal laws. The Academy trains constables to become sensitive citizens. Over 1,500 research officers have been trained as “Master Trainers” under various courses.
Rajasthan Police Staying Up-to-Date
DGP Sharma noted that Rajasthan Police is continuously updating with modern technology. About 80,000 officers and staff are registered on the central government iGOT “KarmYogi Portal” and are taking online courses.
Communicate Justice Code Features to the Public
Addressing the graduates, DGP Sharma urged them to spread awareness of the new justice codes. He emphasized that justice is not just a legal process, but also giving respect, listening empathetically, and providing swift relief to victims. He appealed to trainees to serve the poor, helpless, and marginalized with dedication, fulfilling their constitutional duties.
Focus on Data Analysis and Cyber Patrolling
DGP Sharma stressed using modern technology in policing, urging officers to improve computer skills, learn new languages, and leverage technology. With rising cybercrime challenges, he instructed a focus on data collection, analysis, and cyber patrolling.
Strong Policing is the Prime Minister’s Directive
He congratulated award winners, reminding them that the greatest reward is a pure conscience. Quoting PM Narendra Modi from the recently concluded DGP-IG Conference, he emphasized strengthening police, improving public perception, and focusing on women’s safety.
14 Female Officers Honored
During the ceremony, 12 trainees were awarded mementos and certificates for excellence in various training categories. Additionally, two female trainers, Police Inspectors Rajni Meena and Meena Verma, were also honored with appreciation certificates.
